You can't be racist and like basketball.
I seriously thought you may have just gone right off the deep end on the first post Rusty.

It'll be interesting to see if the staff hiring calms or extends your current meltdown.  BTW, it's been a very quality meltdown.  I'm in no hurry to see it go.

No doubt it will be extended.

My dream staff has only one or two people who have any ties to KSU whatsoever.

I want Bill to go get some young hot shots outside his tree....or at least merely tangentially related....maybe call up his buddy Bobby Bowden and ask for some recommendations or something.

Then, my second "dream" is that he runs their asses out of town if they don't perform.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
Would like to see this character get a look.

Brad Lambert is a good dude, small town western KS guy who had a nice career at KSU when KSU was bad. Was the leading scorer for KSU his Freshman or Sophmore year several games into the season after taking a couple of INT's back for scores. He seems like he has done a nice job of moving up through the coaching ranks.

 r u kidding me.  he's outside the snyder tree.  blasphemers.
When I was a kid growing up in the projects, I used to dream of going into space, of escaping the slums, of killing an Ewok!

what's Mark Simoneau doing?  is he still playing?  he would be a heckuva LB coach.  Those LB's would really learn how to tackle.

he is still with the saints

I would love to see Greenwalt become our S&C coach for football as well. He did it in Cincy, didn't he?

Yes, he did.  But he's busy with women's hoops now and, knowing out athletic department, they'd have him training horses for the equestrian team before they'd let him near Vanier.

Whoever you hire, put the focus (and the $$$) on the defensive side of the ball.  The last 5 years have shown that we aren't going to win with defenses that can't get it done, even if you have great special teams and decent offense.  And Snyder's original plan involved focusing on building a defense.  Go out and find the best defensive staff you can find and pay them.  Then with Snyder it should be managable to find decent guys to coach offense.  Do the double OC move (run game cooridinator and pass game coordinator) b/c it should allow to do things cheaper and in the end Snyder will call the offense anyway.

Is it not so far removed that everyone has forgotten the reason Snyder left in the first place. He couldn't get rid of the bad coaches on his staff due to loyalty. There was a ton of desension in the ranks and the whole staff was divided. A good mix of old cordniators would be fine but the rest needs to be fresh blood. ie when he brought in a young linebackers coach named Brett Bielma. Snyder has had his eyes open watching the young and upcomers. By the by Smitty was a lazy recruiter, Matt Miller is strung out on drugs and Mo Latimore is a joke. Rod Coles is known as one of the best strength coaches in the nation, so it would be great to get him back. For our sake I hope we get about four guys on this staff that none of us have ever heard of.

You act like this was a good thing.  Bielema is borderline retarded.

OC/QB:  Chuck Long AND Jonathan Beasley
DC/DB:  Phil Bennett or BV
WR:  Darrell Wyatt
DL:  Mo Latimore AND/OR Joe Bob Clements
TE:  Brook Barta OR Matt Miller
ST:  Sean Snyder
LB:  THE bosz56
OL:  Paul Dunn
RB:  Michael Smith
S&C: Rod Cole

OC/HCIW Major Applewhite or non-HCIW Chuck Long
DC/LBs/HCIW Brent Venables or non-HCIW Phil Bennet (DB's)
QB's Jonathon Beasley
LBs The Bosz56
OL/Special Teams Dana Dimel
WR Darrel Wyatt
DL Mo Latimore isn't going anywhere
RB's Michael Smith
TE Brook Barta
DB's Joe Bob? Just need good recruiters.

Young staff, good recruiters, only old balls would be long/bennett/dimel/mo latimore. Good base staff for a guy like applewhite or venables to work with.

Dunno guys, I think Barta should be the recruiting coordinator, because he relates well to HS coaches and is really good at coaching.

As a former player for Barta, I can assure you he would be a HORRIBLE recruiting cordinator.  He would, however, be an asset on the defensive side of the ball.  His personality (or lack there of) is most likely the reason he hasn't been able to leave Holton for something bigger (which he has tried to do on several occaisions).

Once again, In my opinion he would be a great coach to have on staff, but not in a position where  charisma is needed.  But for keeping guys in line and not putting up with any shat, he's solid, and coaches like that are definitely needed on any staff.

If TP doesn't get the LB, what about Travis Ochs?  He seemed to have some good players at Arizona.  Michael Smith told me he quit to move back home to start a family.  Maybe this is the family he should be with right now.
