Little to like about Big 12 so far

Kansas State hosts No. 8 Louisville on Saturday, and if the Wildcats win, it would be great for them and good for the Big 12. But most would dismiss the achievement because the potent Cardinals are without their best running back (Michael Bush) and top quarterback (Brian Brohm), both of whom are injured.

The Big 12 has been a top-heavy league for years. Now the top isn’t as good, but the bottom looks better. The three teams with the worst records last year — Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Baylor — all appear stronger this season.

Will K-State be a division contender? Yes, if it plays Louisville tough Saturday.

Of course CU is making a play for one of the worst Big XII teams ever.  Which would put them in some pretty elite company.
