To be fair, KK did constantly say he wasn't sure about the info that Fitz had, and said they had decided not to run the story until Fitz ran it on his website.  I don't really care for KK, but he didn't add to all the crap nearly as much as Fitz did.

He said that if he had came forward with the info, everyone would know the info could have only came from one man.  Usually your info won't come from someone quite as high up the ladder as the AD.
