The bball program definitely did deteriorate while Snyder was building the football program, but I don't think Snyder was to blame.
Money was switched to focus on football, but Asbury did plenty to help bury the program by sitting on his a$$ in Manhattan and only recruiting a 200 mile radius.
Recruiting for a football program will be different when you bring recruits into a packed Bramlage to show how rabid our fanbase can be. The same thing for bball recruits that come to visit during football games, as long as they go to the games (Arenas).
