The beard look is great because I can be very lazy, yet still be fashionable.  Now if only the sleep til noon and wear sweatpants every day fad would just come along...

i decided today that i would take my beard down a little, now i have a fumanchu moustache, and chops ala joe dirt, but unfortunately no mullet

I have a buddy who will grow a pretty serious beard, just so he can shave it off and rock a child molester mustache for a few days.  crap is funny.
