"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

K-State is watching Southeastern Iowa Community College player John Wilkins. 6'9" Wilkins is from Belgium and was committed to Bradley but couldn't get through the NCAA eligibility.

 http://www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2010-0209/big-east-news-notes-282010-2/

Kevin McNamara of the Providence Journal reports that PC is Still Recruiting for Next Fall despite their current scholarship situation for the 2010-2011 season being full on paper. Providence welcomed John Wilkins, a 6-foot-9 native of Belgium who is now enrolled at Southeastern Iowa Community College, for a visit last weekend. Wilkins signed to attend Bradley back in the fall of 2008 but never enrolled there. Coaches from PC, Marquette, Kansas State, Tennessee and others have stopped by for a look according to his JUCO coach Terry Carroll. Wilkins is currently ineligible to play Juco ball because he appeared in five professional games in his native country four years ago, so he could have four years of eligibility at the 1-A level depending on the NCAA ruling regarding his play with professionals back home (see Deniz Kilicli).

Good video below of Quinn Cook leading his HS team(DeMatha) to win over O'Connell HS featuring UNC signee and McD AA Kendall Marshall.

Bear in mind DeMatha features 4* Jerian Grant(signed w/ND, Harvey's kid), 3* Victor Oladipo(signed w/Indiana) and Top 35 '11 prospect Mikael Hopkins(who's only known offer happens to be from Hairpiece), yet Cook is clearly seen as being the best player and leader of this team. Difference-maker from Day 1 wherever he ends up.

New prospect, 6'5" Ben Mclemore out of St. Louis. Sounds like a late bloomer who's just starting to draw the interest of the big boys.

I'm not even going to bother with the latest update from the Slant(Baby Shay at his homering best) but I will post McLemore's Rivals profile. Very impressive offer list for a kid just emerging on the recruiting scene

New prospect, Justin Gant, 6'8" 195 combo F out of Terre Haute, IN. The Valley is all over this kid as 4 schools from that league have already offered, only BCS offer to date is from Iowa. We don't show up on his profile but sounds like we're starting to show some interest. We'll see.

“I also get letters from Illinois and I went to a couple of Notre Dame and Michigan,” Gant added. “Kansas State sent me a couple letters lately too.”

Yes an Indiana kid. I would love to see us lock down Indiana.

It's only a verbal commitment, but Adrian Diaz has committed to K-State.
From CJOnline.com: Fla. big man picks K-State

From the final graph:
Quote
The addition of Diaz means K-State could field a future front court of Diaz, [Freddy] Asprilla, Jamar Samuels, McDonald's All-American Wally Judge and 7-footer Jordan Henriquez-Roberts.

Everything i've heard sounds like Diaz might go the prep school route which would make sense because of scholly count. We did get Angel Rodriguez so i think that would be the last scholly.
