Black as Offical 3rd Color?

For my written comm. class we have to write a proposal paper.  I'm proposing we officially adopt black as an official 3rd school color. I have some arguments, but I want to make sure I cover every possible reason why we should officially do this.   So if you make a good enough argument I'll cite you and this website!! (maybe). But lets hear it. 

(Admins if you feel like its necessary to move to one of the sports boards, thats fine. But I thought it'd do fine here.)

Any legit things I can use in my paper besides LeGarrette Blount going to Oregon b/c of their uniform combinations and how adding black as an official color will help attract new prospective athletes and students?
