Just the fact that they didn't announce the new coach today makes this whole thing a disaster.  K-State football is dead now.  Dead and buried.  Snyder will actually be the best option at this point, and he is a terrible, terrible, awful hire.  LOL @ all the names being thrown around.  If they didn't already have somebody signed and sealed when they fired a 3rd year HC midseason, who was 2 games under .500, they are going to get laughed at.  Remarkably stupid move.  The next hire will be some random shot in the dark a la Ron Prince circa 2005.  Count on it.

Keeping RP for two years would be stupider than rehiring Snyder. I could think of a lot of coaches potentially that I want NO part of and would rather Snyder be hired. Regardless, NOTHING would be worse than Ron Prince being here. I kind of figured that he would take over for the next 3 games just to get RP out of here.

Only way I see Snyder come back is if he hires a BV type of coordinator that's from his tree and on the cusp of HCing but has zero HC experience to "groom" him as a successor. I think BV would laugh at this thought personally, but it would be the only way imo because he doesn't have but a few years in him and maybe the game has changed that much in the BIG XII.

Regardless, the man IS KState football and if he wants it...I won't tell him no.

Patterson is still my wet dream for a coaching hire.
