Far Cry 2 vs. Falout 3....which to get?

Going to purchase a game, which should I get.

My two favorite games of all time are COD4 and Oblivion.  The way I understand it is that Far Cry 2 should have some similarities to COD4 (at least in multiplayer) and Fallout 3 is made by the Oblivion dudes.

I am at an impasse.  Thoughts?

Far Cry 2 is very mediocre. If you liked Oblivion, then definitely pick up Fallout3. I heard the collector's edition is worth it as well.

fallout3 is single player only.   Although I haven't played it, I'm sure GOW2 is multiplay online.

remember that everytime a new game comes out that less and less people will be playing the older ones, like CoD4.  CoD5 and GoW2 will both steal players from CoD4.

if you're happy with CoD4 and still want to play it, then why even consider buying CoD5?
