PC games:

Better graphics
Really now?

Yes, its not even close.

Every game that is multi-platform is always dumbed down for consoles

Also, LOL @ you guys who think your console games are actually running in HD, they aren't just scaled usually

I'd say PS3 is close, 360 not so much.

They do run in HD fwiw, generally just 720p though.
what game are you using as a reference that you can say the pc version and the ps3 version are close in relation to graphics, but the 360 version is noticeably different graphic quality?

    I'm with Coco.
Anyone who brags about graphics in the generation are retarded. Unless they are completely awful or completely realistic, they're pretty much all the same. Besides, yeah sure, Crysis looked good. Too bad it sucked. What else is there? Civ IV is a good game. Spore? gmafb.

I personally think you're retarded for proclaiming PC gaming to be tops when it's borderline dead. Especially when there wasn't even an argument about it in the first place in this thread. Again, I direct you to my comparison between you and ku fans. You're trying to convince yourself more than anyone else.

I won't play FPS/RTS games on the console.  The mouse is the only way to go...anyone who says different obviously has not played a FPS/RTS on a computer.

I'll admit that the FPS console games have come leaps and bounds since Goldeneye and their grid point aiming system, but it is still a grid and some games even still use an auto-correct system for your bullets so you don't get mad that you can't aim perfectly.

Adventure/RPG/Sports/racing games have always been my choice though for console and it feels like you need a controller to play these games.

Fortunately, the PC has come leaps and bounds and I can now use my 360 controller on my PC. :)

PC games have not completely died either...here are some titles that have come out or are coming out in the next few months that I want to play.

Empire:Total War
Battleforge
C/C3 new expansion
company of heroes new expansion
Football Manager Live
Elven Legacy
Men of War - although I'm about burnt out on WW I/II video games right now.

We could argue forever about console vs PC, but hands down PC owns console in these fields: mods, online play, and the ability to play something that you didn't pay for and not be banned forever from the network.  LOL

You can't use a single game as a point of reference, because games aren't developed independently for each system anymore, they are just ported over.

But for example check out Crysis on a high end rig vs MGS4 on PS3 vs Gears of War 2 (or w/e the most graphically impressive game on 360 is)

not exactly an all star line up you've got to look forward to  :shy:

as a former pc FPS player (quake through RtCW) i would love nothing more than to return to the days where the PC was the dominant platform, the reality is that the market has shifted and developers are now coding to the largest audience they can, the console gamer.

Yep - PC gaming is fringe, niche anymore.  Still plenty of games I look forward to on it but most of them won't be released for years.   :flush:

I'll always hold on to my PC for gaming for FPS/RTS/MMO (eh) but nothing else.  It will be a dark day for PC's when they add in Keyboard/Mouse support for all FPS/RTS games on consoles but I doubt that will happen soon, and if it does it will somehow be gimped.

My thinking is they'd have separate servers for kb/mouse players and controller players.

That's the thing it's "close" now but it won't be in a couple of years.  What is the most graphically taxing game on the 360 right now?  I'll go to my friends house and play it, and lol at the fake water textures and eyeballs popping out of the top of characters eyelids, and their fake looking "teeth", also known as the "360 faces".

i don't know what the most graphically taxing game on the 360 but if you're expecting anything to look as good as Crysis on a high end system does then you're going to be disappointed.

besides, when were graphics important?  gameplay trumps graphics every time.

Random side note:

Did anyone else have quake 3 on every single computer in your high school? Shawnee Mission West did, it was pretty sick. Nothing like getting on the computer in a boring class and blowing the frank out of some of your friends over the lan.

I think my grandpa killed somebody once, but he never liked to talk about Kent State.

That sucks..my initial interest was drawn to the game because of the cards, ala magic.  I was hoping that they could get something together that works.

im ok not super great but solid. there are so many moves and combinations i didnt try to learn them all at once. i just stuck with the basics and then learned the other moves as i needed to do them. i need to go back to that game and finish a few things.
