    You can't be racist and like basketball.
Doesn't seem quite as dumb if it impresses recruits.

Last week marked the debut of the "Wildcat Walk," which was billed as an opportunity for the fans to meet and greet the players on a walk through the parking lot at Snyder Family Stadium prior to the game.

And that worked fine _ there were lots of well-wishers and even a few smiles from the players.

But the biggest effect might have been on the dozens of recruits K-State invited to the game, recruits who were thrust into the game-day experience by following the team into the stadium. The well-wishers treated the recruits just like the players, and judging by the awed expressions on many of their faces, it worked.
