    Hey, basketball!!!
Hard, tough runner.....not to mention pretty good hands.

Too bad Prince isn't the O-Line guru that we originally thought he was.

Because with prince now being Dold & Baring, running could've been a definite option.

Virtually a non-homosexual Jake Sharp clone, but better in a lot of intangible respects.

The Toilet Bowl next week is going to be eerie with those two standing accross the sidelines from each other.

Dold is not terrible. He also should not be carrying the rock for a BCS team. On one occasion, he had the option to run around either side of a blocking wall but chose to bury his head right into the back of the right guard for a 1 yard gain.
Show me defense.

Good short yardage back, follows the beef, or lack of beef, whatever.

you cant place all the blame on the oline. dold does not see any of the cutback lanes and he is too slow to get through them anyway.

So what is that translate to, 4.65-4.7 40 speed?

Technically, it translates to a 4.36 forty.  But you can't really do that, as they're two completely different races.

Since he only averaged 3.5 yards per carry, he's not really anything more than a short-yardage back.  I'm not sure he'd know what to do if he got more than seven yards beyond the LOS.

If there is a worse starting RB in the XII, I have yet to see him.

Dold is a good kid and he's a good football player.  I've been impressed with what he's done after being put into a situation he had no business being put into.  He should have came to KSU played safety and redshirted.  Should have worked on special teams as a freshman and sophomore and then started at safety his junior and senior years.  The fact that he's our starting RB as a true freshman is crazy but that is the state of the program right now.

Once you start going down this slope it just gets worse and worse as you try to plug holes.  You end up with your best players out of position and being moved around.  Look at Lamark Brown he'll be a junior next year and he's still probably not playing the right position or even playing on the right side of the ball.  Talk about mismanaging a kids career.

I saw alot of holes produced by our oline that weren't utilized. After watching the OU game and esp. the oline play, I think a real quality shifty rb would actually do ok with this line.

i totally agree. someone like rodney stewart would average over 100 a game especially with our passing game.

When we were on the 1-yard line in the second half, I would have like to see him in the game and not that tinker bell from Olathe. Going over 40 would have made me feel better.
Dold is the kind of kid Synder would have recruited, re-shirted and switched to safety or LB. Now he's starting as a true freshman. How sad.

Our RB play is ridic.  What's crazy is to realize the dropoff after Dold.

Yeah, this is pretty wild to me.  Valentine was good enough to start to begin the year, now he can't even see the field.  Have no idea what is going on with that, I can't imagine all these others passing him up that much.  Granted, I'm in no way saying he's the answer, but I thought he'd at least being some some snaps now and then if he was that "good" early.

Saw that.  I literally shat myself.   He had a huge hole but instead tried to run up his guard's back.
