They overestimate their respect level around the country. May not be right, but tcu won't cross most people's mind when thinking about top 25 programs. We might not either, though. Oh, and LOL at tcu having a chance at a NCG.

Not true...

They were relevant around the time of Slingin' Sammy Baugh back in the 30's.  Even won a couple of MNC's then...

Anybody here remember that?

Patterson is tcu's Bill Snyder. Not a direct comparison...but was tcu, prior to his arrival, even that good? Look where they are now.


Remember when UCLA offered Snyder in '94? We HATED UCLA for even mentioning the thought.....Expert after expert predicted Snyder would leave, and after '96 the new school rumor was Illinois. No dice.

If we work out a Patterson deal I will be tickled to death...until it happens...it seems like such a pipe dream.

The difference is Patterson has actually interviewed elsewhere.  Not so with Snyder.

Well they were good with coach Fran (decent at least, plus the years with LT)
