Future of Golden Boy and KSUFB

Keep in mind that the odds say that Golden Boy will be a bust.  If that happens, we are going to be totally screwed.  We'll be screwed as in last place conference finishes and no bowl every year.  Hell, that's where we are right now, isn't it?  Sure, it's a team sport, but can you honestly say that we are going to have enough playmakers to be competitive?  Where on earth will they come from?  In a few years, we'll be ready to chase PHRP out of town with no real hope of bringing in a proven coach.  Can PHRP make Golden Boy a decent quarterback through a sheer act of will?  If nothing else, at least we know that he'll be giving it his best shot...when it doesn't interfere with his personal life, that is.

If we do tank for years to come, I'll always have hope because of Huggins.  I thought basketball was gone forever.  Look what he has done in the past few months.  It might take a long time to be good again, but one day we will, with or without Prince.  Seems like schools go through these cycles every so often, or maybe its just me.  On a side note, I haven't thrown in the towel yet on KSU football... It'll take 2 years before I'll be able to decide where we are going.

As far as Golden Boy I have no idea if he'll be a bust... I have yet to see him in action.  He needs a better supporting cast imo.  Maybe recruiting will help.   Hellifino.   Just win!!!

It seems we can all agree that Golden Boy is the key to either another Big XII Conference championship or being compelled to have serious discussions regarding membership in the WAC Conference.  And none of us know with certainty what the future holds.  The guy whose potential so many (including myself) are excited about, though, is most likely going to be a BIG, FAT BUST.
