(From Fitz/PI)

This needs to get spread to every purple corner possible.

The K-State men's basketball team will be having open gym on Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum at 2:45 prior to the Florida Atlantic game. Coaches cannot be there and it's certainly not an official K-State event, so it will just be players scrimmaging, but it would be fun to see Cartier, Hoskins and the big guys in action.

They plan on doing this the next three weeks leading up to the Louisville game (I guess times will be set later). I would imagine they are hoping to get a couple of thousand fans in Bramlage for an unofficial shootaround when five or six hoops recruits happen to come through the Bram on Sept. 23 prior to the Louisville game. Just my guess, though.

So, this Saturday at 2:45, cut into your tailgate plans to go watch a little open gym at Bramlage. Now pass it along to all of your K-State friends and make sure they realize this will happen for the next three weeks, including the week that the recruits are on campus.

Sorta.  The "green light" was given to get the information out there.  Since this site has some of the most diehard K-State bball fans I know, I posted it. :)

Now if KSU would only make sure the basketball staff is there (but never, never watching of course) and that all media outlets are alerted so they'll be there for those "impromptu" spur of the moment "pick up" games, particularly when say a certain group of recruits visit in a few weeks ... then KSU will have emulated another program I know of perfectly.
