Do not post information that is contained in Rivals premium forums or content.    Dax's Jason King post came from JayhawkSlant.  It was obviously e-mailed to him.

Further reminder to all: it's only copyright infringement if you cut and paste.  Facts and rumors purported to be facts are not subject to copyright.  Further, back in the days of the telegraph the S.Ct. in Associated Press vs. International News Service established a time frame in which the gatherer and purveyor of news not subject to copyright was allowed to assert a proprietary right in the information they had gathered, said period was roughly a day.  So be sure to wait a day and paraphrase when posting premium information from other sites.   :D

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
Just preface all premium posts with: This was emailed to me by a friend.

It is now second hand knowledge and you are at no fault for posting something that you didn't pay for and didn't know was premium.

Life goes on.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I need to get "Fitz takes it up the ass" added to my cards.   :D

Of course it's likely the 'tards posting the premium info would be in breech of their rivals users agreements but I'm not going to tell them that.

So it is OK because it was emailed to him?

don't worry about it.  I was a oderator for a rivals premium board and can tell you that the only things that are under any legal protection are the articles written by rivals staff members only.  for instance, if I wrote an article for rivals talking about the Texas Longhorns rb's and you copied and pated any part of it, I would have a legal beef with you.  if you parapharased it, I might be mad, but have no legal beef with you.  If I do  recruiting update and then you go and tell everyone what I said I have no legal beef with you, that info can be had by calling up the recruit and asking him yourself.  just because a recruit makes a comment to me doesn't mean I now own his words and nobody else can say what he told me.  rivals doesn't own news, they don't own coach comments, player comments or anything like that.  they own what they produce 100% by themselves and nothing more.  they love to scare people into thinking opposite of that though
