ncaa 09 or 08?

I'm buying an xbox360 today (finally moving up from my ps2) and my first game is going to be NCAA football.  Should I go ahead and pick up 09, or get 08 for much cheaper? (59.99 vs 29.99).  I know either one will be a large step up from playing 09 on my ps2.  Is there that much of a difference between the two that I should get the newer one? (besides more current rosters).

CoD4, Resistance, Rainbow Six (1&2) for FPS (Also, MGS4 for 3rd Person game)
Burnout Paradise, Pure, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for Racing Games
NCAA 09, Madden 09, NCAA 2k8 (Beasley in Bball), MLB08 The show for Sports
LittleBigPlanet Coming
Resistance 2 coming

I do agree that the PS3 is lacking in the RPG aspect, but just about everything else, the PS3 has something to offer.

I'd stick with Cod4 until Infinity Ward releases Cod6 next year.

still using cod4 engine and the story line seems pretty interesting.  supposedly a pretty violent view of the japanese theater in ww2. + flamethrowers.

I played SOCOM beta on PS3 and lol'd, it was stupid.  FPS on Consoles still remain gay.  I did have fun logging on to some foreign servers and teamkilling people though.

LittleBigPlanet will shock the world, it will be "pure pownage".  Resistance 2 I could really care less about.  "Home" should be awesome.

I'd throw in Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and Heavenly Sword as good exclusives.

Try Metal Gear Solid 4, it is probably the best one out right now.

True, forgot about Uncharted.  It was a great game, but I didn't see a whole lot of replay value (I'm not one for the treasure, find every little secret thing in the game types), but maybe now with Trophies, it's worth another play through.

Did you enjoy Heavenly Sword?  That's one that I've thought about trying to pick up cheap and give a play through.

I played the first one a bit (NES) and MGS on Playstation 1 for a little bit so I didn't know the story or anything, but still loved the game.

Solid Snake using a box to hide in is incredibly cool.  Still have MGS2 for PS2, never made it very far.
IMO this series has always  been more hype than quality.

not sure how you got that from what i typed but i'd say they both suck equally, maybe a slight edge to MGS4 because of the box.

Halo is pretty much the sacred cow to 360 "peepz" as MGS4 is to PS3.

MSG4 sucks hard. I never got into the other games but I hate this game. The guy moves so &@#%ing slow. COD4 is the titz. Headquarters + Shipment = very good times.
