Here's a know-nothing Shocker fan's predictions for the final big 12 standings this season.

NORTH
1. Iowa State - The schedule is tough but they are the best in the North and I'm not buying the NU hype yet.
2. Nebraska - Talented but the Slasher is still their coach.
3. Missouri - Could be a sleeper. They have talent but like NU they have a turd for a coach.
4. Kansas - Manbearpig eats the competition at first but eventually dies of a heart attack.
4. K-State - Things will  be rough in Prince's  first year but you guys might make a bowl if you get solid production from your O-line.
6. Colorado - Barnett left a mess and it will take Hawkins awhile to clean it up.

SOUTH

1. Texas Tech - I think Tech will suprise everyone this year.
2. Texas - A lot of talent returns but QB is still a question. Brown doesn't have Young to save his ass anymore.
3. Oklahoma - QB is a huge question. Bomar being gone is going to put the pressure on Peterson. No passing game = 8 or 9 in the box.
4. Baylor - Better than everyone thinks.
5. A&M - Worse than everyone thinks. Overrated.
6. OSU - They just suck.

Good effort TheShocker.  I liked your coaching analysis and agree with it down the line.  I think the Cats should adjust readily to the new system because the returning players should fit with it...with the possible exception of the front line pressure that I understand Cover 2 requires.  With solid line play, I think we can be thrown into the mix with NU, MU, and ISU.  ISU has the best O, but have no D, NU has some of both, and MU has talent but a young QB and their coach along with Callahan have the can't coach their way out of...syndrome.

I have ku as last in the North, redshirt frosh QB, all playmakers off a D that carried them gone, several pre-season injuries, potential sanctions.  CU right above them, or in a fight with KSU if our line play doesn't come through.

Good call on Mack not having Vince Young to bail him out..still so much talent that they will be in the top 3 of the south.  Stoops will likely beat him without Young but this should be Tech's year...if they can ever do it.
