will be Starting two true freshman on the DL: Rashawn Parker a 6' 235 DE from Ponca City OK; and Nate Frere a 6'2 295 DT from Muscatine IA. Defensive two deeps have a total of 13 freshmen and sophomores.

Hell when I was at KSU the engineering students could bench 475.  Well, one or two of 'em anyway.

    The very best.
I think the offense will be able to offset the defense imo.

When it comes to unit, the ISU unit is light-years ahead of NU's....while NU's defense is only a "hair" better than ISU's.

Thus ISU wins the north imo.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

ISU doesn't have a defense.  It doesn't exist.  There are just 12 men on a field, watching the ball fly over their heads, or zip past them in the hands of the back.

Must be a Bo Piddles reference from before his departure. Didn't he like to run out on the field and complain that the opposing team was using thier first string players? What a concept.

"I think the offense will be able to offset the defense imo."

since when does an average offense offset a horrible defense?  last year, with the good defense they had ISU averaged 28 points per game.  If you were curious, that 28 points per game had them tied for 50th in the nation in scoring per game.  Now, they won't have a defense that gets the offense the ball back.  They might score some points but their offesne will be on the bench most of the game watching the defense gets wqhooped up on most of the game.  it's for this reason I wouldn't be shocked to see the offesne get worse.  Not to mention,  ISU will be easier to defend because they will find themselves in obviios passing downs more because they will be behind more.
