Chad May-1993 Nebraska

Lynn Dickey-1969 Missouri

Michael Bishop-1998 Nebraska, 1997 Missouri

Roberson-2003 Big 12 CCG, 2002 Nebraska.

Matt Miller-1995 ku

I am pretty sure it was Stan Weber at OSU in 1984 ... just a gutty game, KSU beat Jimmy Johnson and the Pokes by an extra point.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Lynn Dickey-1969 Missouri

Were you around for that?

I was a couple of years away from paying any attention to football, but I remember my dad, and a couple of buddies of mine who had dads who were MU alums talking about it ... MU won, but they said it was one of the greatest football games they'd ever seen.

Some memorable events:

Paul Watson’s duck to Andre Coleman to beat ku

Matt Miller (horrible game-6 TO’s?) rolling out left, throwing back across field to Kevin Lockett to win the game on final play at Cincinnati

Chad May’s Montana-esque 2:00 offense drive to win at OSU

Michael Bishop's 60+ yard TD run early in first game against Northern Illinois – it was pretty clear at that moment that he was going to be phenomenal

    shame on you, non-believers
Bishop - '97 - MU......just because of his 30-second-long successful scramble and completion.

Fatty,

Do you know any of the names of the quarterbacks that came before your MTV generation?

That 1993 KSU-UNL game with May at the helm is hard to beat.

Great thread, I'll update my picks tonight when I've had time to marinate the question.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

watson almost led us to a win over top 10 nebraska in 1991.  i remember my dad listening to that game on the radio...i was 10 at the time but that game began my interest in ksu football/sports in general.

K-State played very well in that game ... man that was an exciting and depressing game ... Russ Campbell had a pass knocked away right at the goal line, if we score, KSU wins.

Brian Kavanagh puking in the student section during his greyshirt year.  Dean Liquor had hellacious pint specials on Saturdays during the fall of '91.  I'd say Brian took advantage of being a part-time student that semester to expand his social skills.

I'm a Beasley fan but several Roberson/Bishop performances come to mind. But then again how about those low profile guys that came in cold off the bench. Mentioning Beasley reminds me of, I think Helm (???), who came in and took back the game from ISU. I need to think about this some more but Webb coming in last year against MU, considering it was Snyder's final game, down by two touchdowns could be considered as well. I mean we were down two touchdowns, you've lost your job to Everidge, it's Snyder's last game, so there has to be a little bit more going through his mind. He did fumble if I remember but they got it done.

I use the word they as Allen had the return at ISU and of course Archer and co. had something to say in the MU game.

Beijing Cat

<and yes I do live in Beijing, two floors above a Husker no less, and live off the news from this board! So thanks to all, except that brick guy, for the info and the smack>

Chad May vs. Minnesota in 1994 - great night game, I don't know how many yards May threw for but it was an air show.

Cinci was pretty good back then, that game wasn't on television, I was working at Dean's at the time and had to listen to it on the radio.  Awesome.

Remember that same season (95?) at home vs. Colorado, last minute of the game, Matt Miller threw a ball off of the turf to Mitch Running, he then attempted a throwback to Miller in the endzone, didn't work tho.

Chad May-1993 Nebraska- 489 yards, 30-51  comp/attempts

Chad May - 1994 vs. Kansas going 33-44, 379 yrds, no interceptions.
