for what it's worth USC finished with a lower SoS than ku.  just saying, it wasn't the weakest schedule, there were 5 bcs schools behind us in strength i believe, without looking it up, and he didn't lose to any team from a sub-div conference. ie App. St or Fresno.  I don't see why you guys are so hung up on ku winning games last year.  Before the season and with that schedule we were picked to finish 5-7 and last in the north.

KSU had gone 2 seasons without winning a game when Snyder arrived, and Snyder still had a better record than fatgina after 5 years.  After year 5, Snyder rattled off 11 straight bowl seasons with two BCS games (one Alliance at the time), and 7 double-digit win seasons.  If fatgina can do 1/3 of that over the next 11-12 seasons, I will be absolutely shocked.  Heck, I don't even thing fatgina will live that long making it impossible anyway.

Fact is, Callahan was doing the things needed to turn your program around.  The problem is, most of what he was doing was flying right in the face of how the Osborne Old Guard thought things should be done.  We're talking about the same people who will land a plane on a college campus without ever previously talking to the head coach they are soliciting.  Idiots.

He was doing a great job on defense with his buddy Cosgrove. We had 12 sacks all of last year, have 8 in the first two games this year. He wouldn't fire his buddy and it killed him. Playbook was way to big for college.
