    Knows What Brent Did...
This match-up has "Wednesday Night Primetime!" written all over it!  :excited:
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

How could it be a good deal for K-State?  Is Krause expecting 40k+ K-State fans in Arrowhead?

 :dunno:
I wouldn't doubt it.  We got what, 17k for a weeknight basketball game.  There are alot of casual KSU fans in KC that would go to Arrowhead for a game, but they do not want to drive 2+ hours to go to Manhattan for a game.

There's no way though that it would affect this year, correct? We can't move a scheduled home game this late of notice to Arrowhead I'm assuming because season ticket holders would be furious

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

1 less 2 hr drive =

But, games in Manhattan are much more  than games at arrowhead (except when it actually means something)

Terrible move, imHo

Why did KSU agree to this? Seriously, what can be gained from playing ISU in KC?

I understand that, but will this really be that profitable? That is, more profitable than a conference home game?

Not for Aggieville.  So how many home games are we down to?  4-5.  I liked the good old days when football games were played in the towns where the colleges were located.

BTW, I live in KC.

2 revenue games versus 1.  Probably not great for Aggieville merchants and the RCPD but still, the AD has to gets paid.

I live in KC as well and the odds of me attending the KSU v. ISU games for 2009 and 2010 just went up 100% so...

You hitch your wagon to Ron Prince and Kaptain Krause's star, and they parlay that into some sort embarrasing rivalry series with a team with zero national recognition and the losingest record in Big 12 conference play (or second-losingest, who really cares).  What a joke.

Hey fcKSUtick,

This is an opportunity for two of the Big 12 institutions who often find themselves on the short end of the stick in terms of revenue to maximize revenue generating potential and essentially eliminate a road game off of each of their schedules.  Both fanbases travel well and the game will likely be very well attended.  WHo is to say what the profile of both programs will be in 2009.  This may be the Big 12 North title game.
