This is all so amusing. If Ronnie was actually a coach for ku, then we might have something to debate. He was more than qualified to be the Director of Basketball Operations. Graduate degree, years in the Air Force and a successful high school coach. Martin and Hill weren't oozing with college coaching experience when they arrived at KSU. Hill was hired because he was the CEO, Chairman, Big Daddy, and Pimp of the DC Assault. No different than Ronnie getting hired, except his role was limited as a non-coach. Hill gets paid more than many head coaches, even though he doesn't have to do much more than give his DC Assault buddies a call and try to control his drinking.
When the NCAA makes it illegal for parents (Ronnie, Ed) and father-figures/mentors (Hill, Huggins) of recruits to accept jobs at these schools, let me know. Until then, I hope we sign up Carl Henry and Lance Stephenson, Sr for meaningless jobs at ku.
