Honestly I'm gonna miss you Mark!!
did anyone just see that? the French were favored to win and set a new WR but on the last leg and even more so the last 50M the American Lezak swimmer came back from a half body length to win by .08sec. the best part of it all was the French swimmer Bernard, who gave up the lead was quoted in a newspaper when asked about the Americans. "we're gonna smash them, thats what we came here for"

Mike Phelps was on the team and he is still on his way to go 7 for 7 and bet the gold medal record

I believe there were 6 teams and 5 of those we all better times than the previous WR

Quote
While the Americans whooped it up on deck, Bernard clung to the wall, his head down. The swimmer who had talked confidently of beating the Americans was the last one to leave the pool.

Normally I find swimming posts longhornesque, but this race was pretty cool.

LOL at other countries.  Bush led the crowd in a huge round of "'merica, F#$k Yeah!" after the event and assisted everyone in keg stands and T-P'ing of the French dorms  :ksu:

    The very best.
lol@the black guy!
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
