PC games are getting fewer and fewer. This is due mainly to profitability. Just look at what Crysis went through. The biggest game the PC had of the year hardly sold anything due to piracy and lack of audience.

Also, it may not be an advantage to you, but for everyone else in the world, what games you're able to play tend to become important. If one system took away nearly all of the other's exclusive games, it took away a huge advantage.

PS. 360 has exclusive GTA4 DLC on the way. I'll let you know how it is.

a hardcore following doesn't mean a big following.  and whatever you think you have, consoles have more.  and more = users, and users = money, and that's where the games will follow.  once technology caught up with the games being developed and you no longer needed a supercomputer to pull FPS/dynamic lighting, etc, was the day the pc gaming market died.

the one game i do think looks incredi that's coming out for pc is Rage-

Hardware matters, man.  It just does, been proven time and time again.

in terms of reliability, yes. but for little details, it does not.

apparently, the 360 has terrible reliability.
QFT but if you buy the 360 right out of the box you should be fine.

RRoD is over exaggerated IMO.

The last number I saw was ~33% would eventually fail.  Is MS still offering an infinte warranty?

Officially, it's a 3 year warranty, but they're still accepting RRoD failures for free that are over that. So..... yes.

Nothing to do with games, but thought this was interesting:

These guys: The Criterion Collection

Outfitted their own home theater/screening room with a PS3 for the BR player.

Pretty good endorsement.

If you're not going for a PC solution, a PS3 is really the only logical solution. I'm really surprised they didn't go with a PC, though. Much better quality out of that.

Note that the arcade still comes with a memory card. Also, since 20 GB HDD's are being faded out, you can get them CHEAP.

Not on PSN.  :flush:

Thinking of picking up a 360 this holiday season. I've seen deals out there to get an Elite + a couple games for $329.99

buy one off of craigslist- just be make sure the seal hasn't been broken.  i bought mine with 2 wireless controllers and a 20gb HDD for $200.

microsoft put the 3 yr warranty on all of them so if it goes rrod (and seal is intact) you're covered.

GMAFB, RRoD guaranteed.  I'd rather pay the extra $$$ to get a new one.  Plus I would have to get a wireless adapter (or a bridge) anyways.

you don't need a wireless adapter, just use a ethernet cable.  and what's the wireless adapter have to do with saving money on the console purchase?  retart.

Just put your xbox by a fan and don't play for a while without taking a break. RRoD is caused by overheating.

I got my wireless adapter on ebay for $20. You can also get 25% cashback using MS live search. Get a 360 on dell.com when they have coupons pop up.
