When you subtract 'te's salary we really don't spend that much.  Also, this just goes to show how much our program depends on Wef.  Next pres' will almost certainly take an ax to that

gas is also getting expensive to travel the 2 hours to the airport since the asswipes decided to screw the rural schools over w/ that stupid no charter flights rule.

Depending on what kind of jet they got it prolly cost more than that entire expenditure.  And by "depending" I mean it would have to be an old pile of s#!t for it to cost less than that entire expenditure.

i don't view it as a good thing for an athletic dept the size of ours to have to spend that much money begging athletes to come to our campus to play sports that we're not competitive in.

I think a lot of the reason is the amount we have to spend on travel.  Our coaches use private planes a lot for recruiting which is expensive.  If we were closer to a major airport they would fly commercial more often.  We'd spend even more if they still let us use private planes for official visits.

no, that can't be it.  has to be recruiting money. . .it's sad really.  we only had to spend another 150k and we would have kadji, shipman, 'spoon. . .beasley would have stayed, walker would have stayed, we wouldn't have lost that 1998 big XII championship, leon patton would be able to break a tackle. . .
