Being deaf would be a pretty awesome excuse for being late to work every day.

I was thinking maybe they just had a timer on one of their lamps.  If their lightbulb went out then they'd have a good excuse.

One of the better threads on fans in some time....

I have no idea how they awoken from sleep, but now I really, really want to know.  Does anyone know a deaf person I can call to ask?

    Knows What Brent Did...
If a blind guy was talking to a deaf guy, would he just tap out Braille on his face?
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

see no evil hear no evil.  hilarity would ensue if a blind guy really tried to talk to a deaf guy.

    IT'S DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL!!!
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_deaf_people_wake_up_in_the_morning

Quote
They make alarm clocks for the Deaf, it has a disk shaped peice that is attached to the clock itself and you slide that in between your mattress and box spring and it will vibrate the bed when the alarm goes off.

http://literacy.kent.edu/Oasis/deaf/devices.html

Quote
earing people wake up to the sound of a buzzer or the sound of a radio every morning. How do deaf people wake up? They have a choice of waking up to flashing lights, vibrating beds or both. The clocks work similar to regular clocks, except they connect to the lamps and the vibrating devices. To see a variety of products available, go to http://www.harriscomm.com and http://www.azhearing.com.

I think I would prefer the vibrating bed to the alarm clock.

In a recent poll, 86% of sexually confused teens gave a similar response.

My wife and I stayed their once because they sent us a coupon for a free nights stay. It was about four years ago. My wife sat down at a blackjack table and preceded to get up a thousand. This is by betting like ten and twenty bucks a hand. The whole freaking table couldn't lose. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen. She started betting one a two hundred a hand. Lost twice in a row and got up and walked away still up about seven hundred.

It was a little creepy. Lots of  :cyclist:

Went to paire band on sunday. I dont think there was one person there under 30 besides me. The only reason I went was that if you sign up for a players card you get 25 dollars in free gaming coupons.....If you ever want to see where all your social security money goes just visit there on a sunday afternoon

I'm good at gambling so I'd get free rooms and stay there when I had Court in Holton.  I quit going not long after the tribe took it over from Harrah's.  Every "rural indian casino-ish" thing about it got multiplied by 5.

The rooms and hotel area were actually pretty nice.  Too nice.  It made that second when you step into the casino (while sidestepping a woman in a wheelchair literally corded by her player's card in the slot machine) that much more depressing.
