    The very best.
“It was really big. We are trying to capitalize on making a winning streak of our own. We went 3-5 in the first half of the season. We feel like anybody can go 3-5 in the second half of the season and maybe we can go 7-1 in this second half. We are really going to push it.”

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Liked seeing Elgas coaching on the sidelines almost constantly.  Like how when he pulled a player he would often talk to him.  He looked like a better coach than Wooly just by his sideline demeanor.

Just as we shouldn't get too excited about the win (meaning jumping on any bandwagons) let's not get too excited about how Elgas' coaching on the bench.  Jim operates the way a lot of head coaches operate in that during games he let's his assistants handle individual players while he handles the big picture.  Elgas was simply doing what he normally does night in and night out on the bench, coaching and talking to players on the bench when they come out of games.  Same with Baker and Kelso.  I think Wooly's demenor, handling of refs, and the way he coaches players individually or otherwise on the sideline has been WAY overplayed.  The man simply hasn't won enough games here, especially close games and I don't see this point as being a big reason why.

And yes, Elgas and all the staff deserve a big complement in how they handled this team tonight.  It was a nice, refreshing win in a close game.  We made enough plays down the stretch, moreso on the offensive end than defense, that we didn't do vs OSU.  Good job, and hopefully we'll see that continue b/c I'd bet we'll be in at least 4 more games under 5 points down the stretch of this season. We've got to win every one of those close games b/c we've given 4 away.
