These people are so simple minded as to think

a)  the program needs to be supported regardless of circumstances
b)  that the program is something to be worshipped
or
b)  that none of us knows enough to be able to realistically question any of the coaches

a-  "If you don't like it, you can git out!" is the logic of a complete moron incapable of answering any question who relies only on mind-numbing school yard reversals that neither answer the critic or examine the issue at all.  Dissent is treason......and we're talking about a college football team here.

b-  Instead of being able to think of KSU as a rational adult, these people love KSU like with the child-like idolization of a father mixed with the fervor of a religious fanatic.

c-  "I bet you guys wouldn't like it if Prince showed up at your job and started telling you how to do it!!!"  Well, if Prince was my boss then I bet I would like it or leave.  We collectively control the destiny of Kansas State Athletics.  People who said that Wooly was a "great guy" and "shouldn't have been fired" not only look like complete assclowns (especially after "The Hughes Affair") now, but they had a discernable impact on what happened (Wefald stepping in to give him "one more year").  Imagine if Wooly had pulled off one more win out of his ass, he might've been re-upped (with support from idiotic students and dumbsh1t alumnis that were posting on KSUFans.com) and then where would we be?  These same people are the ones who idiotically supported Marc Dunn (because he was white and obviously "smarter than Ell").  These are the people who are saying AE was/is totally badical!!11omg!!1  These are the people who are absolutely convinced that Prince is a God-send and that he can do no wrong.

All I'm saying is that from the safety of ksufans.com it is easy to see the complete kool-aid drinking idiocy that has become/always was the average KSUFans.com poster.  To those who are criticizing fatty/rusty et al. realize that these people LOVE Kansas State Athletics.  They WENT to Kansas State University.  And that they WANT K-State to be successful.  People can say wait and see, people can start to criticize things they see but to question someone's integrity as a K-State supporter because they see something differently (more negatively) than you is something we should all be careful in doing.

Here's to hoping everyone continues or attempts to start looking at K-State with a more logical approach instead of relying on the abc's of KSUFans.com posters.

Here's to hoping EVERYONE can stay level headed through a season that is sure to have its ups and downs.

And lastly, here's to hoping that ALL K-State coaches and players are judged based on the numbers, the wins and losses, the stats, and their actions not intangibles, "percieved intelligences"  and "good guyedness."

Please stop pimping the competition.  This may seem over the top to some of you, but remember, this is a legitimate business like any other. You wouldn't walk into Buddies telling everyone to go to Outabounds, and expect to stay there long.

Kind of like what's going to happen with Squawkville when they realize that all this talk from Mangino was to do two things ... sell more tickets and help him in his contract negotiations.

dax,

You are off the mark on this one.

As far as I can tell Mangino does not make statements about ku football just to generate more fan interest and get a better contract.  First off, it is the performance on the field that has raised the interest level over the last 5 years not PR statements by Mangino.  We all know that ku football fans have been, or maybe still are, a fickle bunch.  If the teams tanks this year, no amount of statements by Mangino is going to help sell more tickets or get help him with his contract negotiations.

Nope ... Mangino is clearly in selling tickets mode.

The guys job is on the line, a bad season, NCAA sanctions ... see ya.

No matter of "cigar smoking" BS is going to save his job either if ku goes 5-7 and is on Probation.

That's why he keeps talking about "not being judged by just one season" and "We've built a base here" etc. etc. etc.

Yes, and as annoying as those sites are this one is just as annoying for the opposite reasons.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Just think, if people had only had the right attitude when Stan Parrish was here, he would have turned the program around.  Fie on you, 1987 KSU fans, for having no faith in the great Stan Parrish.

The man was absolutely clueless.

But I will say this, he had nothing to work with on the facilities and administration side really.  They did expand the team dressing room a little and actually put in A/C in there, and the Brandenbury facility was okay to get out of the rain if you had to and run some plays but that's about it.

The one or two things that told me things would be different under Snyder was how hard the team played in his first year, and the fact that KSU was actually investing some REAL money into facilities.    Not $100 million mind you, but enough to at least paint a picture in 1990-91-92 that KSU intended to be a playa.

That's why I always facilities are so important, because for a short window in the early 90's, KSU actually had some of the best player and admin facilities in the Big 8, and that really helped the program to get moving.

LOL!!  Back to KSF's .... they let stalkers from all over the place come in and run the show, and then they ban K-Staters.

Now my chief stalker thinks I just signed up as TylerBrownEye (this is a nic they'll allow to stay I am sure) ... and the same stalker also thinks I am pissclams.   But that's the type of squawk, corn or other posters they allow to stick around, and then when somebody who has been there with them from the beginning gets sick of all of their BS, the K-Stater gets banned.

Sad ...

Then to top it all off, Sean's daddy aka Tom Light aka Deep Nylon gets to come over and puke all over the place ... again, he's the only admin I've ever seen that posts all the time on other teams boards, and was actually banned once if not twice from KSF's for a short while.

Sad ....
