Did anyone else think it was going to end any other way?  How in the heck did they have DNA evidence if nothing happened?

Limestone pretty much called it:

2, People have said that Branson would need a Garmin to find his ass with both hands.  Trust that he won't be prosecuting his boy Sherron.  I would take odds that whatever "evidence" is being sent to the KBI will be entirely consumed in the testing leaving no evidence for the civil trial.  And Branson will drop the investigation stating there was "insufficient evidence to proceed with a criminal prosecution"

Big props to the sloth like movement on this case by the ku PD, and the Douglas County DA.

If there's one thing DAs in college towns have proven, it's that they will protect local college teams at all cost to avoid getting their names in the paper.

Branson is up for re-election.  You think he's going to prosecute the star returning player?  That would be political suicide.  In addition, it would make his seats in Allen very uncomfortable to sit in.
Welcome back, Bill.

Although these claims have been very hurtful to me personally and damaged my reputation, I have always been confident that there is no evidence that could implicate me in any way, shape or form

One would think that someone who did nothing & where the women made up the story would simply say "nothing happened on the elevator."

But being confident about not having evidence to implicate sure opens the door for suggestion that something, in fact, did happen with her on the elevator.

If they damaged him, why doesn't he sue her?

Unfortunately for him it doesn't clear his name as it does not prove innocence or guilt.  At least O.J. was proven to be innocent.

Even the logical ku fans agree that it happened.  Sheron doesn't have the best reputation.  I never thought there would be enough evidence to take to court.  Seriously, what kind of evidence did you think they would have?  The DA was smart in asking to have the 'evidence' reviewed multiple times.  If you know nothing can come of whatever insignificant evidence was submitted, ask for it to be reviewed over and over.  He looks like he is being thorough, but knows up front there is no way the case is going to court.  It was her word vs. his.  Very unlikely that was going criminal.  Thankfully, that is one of the reasons there is a civil court.  I'm sure ku is happy because no criminal prosecution means they don't need to bench him for any exhibition games to keep the NCAA happy.

no one knows whether it happened or didn't except Collins and the lady; to presume it did just because you hate ku is stupid.  the issue as i see it is that it doesn't matter that it happened because either way it's still embarassing for ku's ad and we as k-state fans should take advantage of the opportunity to make fun of them.

Just another situation where ku/Lawrence/Douglas County Law Enforcement look like the keystone cops fornicating with a football in a legal matter involving a ku athlete.

It's all just one big conspiracy.  I hear Collins was also behind the Watergate scandal.  Thank goodness we've got the KSUFans.com special investigation unit on the case.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I really don't know what this has to do with the legal machine in Lawrence screwing over another victim of an attack by a ku athlete though.

I just hope the poor lady gets protection if she pursues the civil case, or she'll likely be killed.

Which ku player had the witness killed in an apartment fire in oklahoma?  That is a classic.

Maybe she was just full of crap.

Plenty of people eagerly take a lie detector test and fail miserably.  I don't know WTF they were thinking, but it happens.

I think the real victims here are the righteous K-State fans that are simply seeking justice for an innocent 35-year-old dorm lady.
