It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

That didn't work for me.

I still find it weird that this guys 'sin' was covered up so well until now and I still haven't heard how old his victim was.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Covered up?
Link?

He's been on the sex offender list for quite a while now. And when he was recruited to play at Kstate how did they not know about him being convicted for this?

He's been on the list since the end of May, translated for idiots that although they are in college, enjoy cartoons, that equates to approximately 11 weeks.  You're saying that KSU covered this up.  Knowing as you do that the KS Sex Offender list is public domain, in what way would KSU be able to participate in the "cover up"?  This isn't one of your idiotic anime cartoons Goldylocks, no one hacked into the KS's website where sex offenders register and hid Hughes' name from appearing.  Instead of tossing mud like you prefer  :ku: why don't you further explain your "cover up" theory.

So you're saying for 11 weeks Kstate couldn't figure out one of their players was on the sex offender list available to everyone with access to the internet?

You're saying that no one at Kstate knew anything at all about his CONVICTION as a sex offender?

If they didn't know, Ksu sure was awfully slow to jump on this situation. The timing is just way off.

Why?

Guess our AD doesn't feel the need to monitor the sex offenders list to see if our players show up....that must be one of those ku things.

You might want to brush up on your knowledge of our legal system.  Since it happened before he was 18 the records are sealed.  The only way KSU finds out about it is if Tyler told us.

What's wrong? Does it not download, or not play?

I don't want to youtube it, because the quality is crappy.

Perhaps you missed the quote by the DA saying it took 3 years for the charges to come to light...

Being that you obsess so much, however, I doubt you missed that and are merely being a dumbass.

Judging by what his dad said and the crime i assume its prob like a 17 yr old guy with a 16 yr old girl and some pissed off parents.  Tyler got a raw deal and I wonder if things would've been different if Wooly was still the coach.  They wouldn't be so worried about a bad image and the media would hardly give a crap.  Regardless, best of luck to Hughes and hopefully he finds another school to finish playing ball at.  I also think its something the athletics department shouldve found out during recruiting but it wasn't a cover up, just poor research into recruits.

It just seems too tightly guarded for 3 years under wraps and another 11 weeks on a list available to the world.

The timing is off.

Please understand, our administration has been busy with covering up the JFK assasination, UFO's/Aliens, Elvis, 2pac, Ken Lay, etc, etc.

While Weiser said he knew nothing of the incidents or charges until Saturday afternoon, he said at least portions of the incidents were known by members of the Jim Wooldridge coaching staff at the time of Hughes' recruitment out of Olathe North High School.

The Mercury has learned from Johnson Country District Attorney Paul Morrison that there were two victims, both males and under the age of 14, and that Hughes pled guilty to a single charge.

If Weiser knew nothing of it until Saturday....how would he know if JW or his staff knew anything about it?

And, if the case is closed, how did they confirm anything about the case with the DA?

Brings back those repressed memories of late nights, anime playing loudly on the tv in the other room, and the knock on the bedroom door from Naismith, huh?
