Put down your bible and start thinking for yourself, kids. Even your fearless leader, "W," has accepted the facts.
I thought all you libs portrayed him as dumb?
He is...but people like Azcat follow him around blindly, so I'm curious why he's still not willing to accept reality.
I would say that AzCat follows conservatism much more closely than he follows Bush.
And AzCat knows, like I know that Man Made Global Warming was in fact, started by Margaret Thatcher to promote the use of nuclear power and she managed to get the UN to create the IPCC to push it's efforts to end the use oil because she saw it as a threat to global economic security.
Over the years, as nuclear energy was vilified by environmental groups and catastrophes such as Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, the man made global warming theory took a back seat in conservative circles. In the 1990's, environmentalists picked up on it, including a senator from Tennessee that saw this as an opportunity to eliminate America's dependence on oil. This same senator would later form the basis for a campaign to convince people that the world was suffering irrevocable damage and the planet was on the verge of frying itself, despite the fact that a few scientists were saying let's not be too hasty in our perceived doom. The strategy is to paint a picture of demise to our species within the time frame of the youngest generation to get individuals to take action. At the same time, these same perpetrators stand to reap a huge economic benefit while destroying civilization as we know it.
The Man Made Global Warming is in fact, a man made farce. Poor scientific methods, bad scientific theory, and blatant thuggery by the perpetrators of this fiction has finally come to a head as more and more scientists are now questioning the "consensus" and discovering what many of us have already known.. the case of catastrophic man made global warming is without merit. To use it to change economic and social policy that will cause much more undue harm to the citizens of the world and is, in itself, a crime. While the AGW crowd continues to parrot the (unlikely) impending doom, more scientific study is challenging the notion that mankind can have a significant impact on the climate.
While I agree that we need to remove ourselves from dependence on oil, especially being supplied by essentially third world countries, we shouldn't do it based on flawed theories relied upon by fabricated data and poor science. We should be smarter than that.
