listening to 810 today, ku and mu offered this guy and he is horrible!  glad that we didn't offer him even after asking him to come visit!

I really hope you're joking. I saw this kid in person last year... We don't have coaching ties at Rockhurst anymore though...

Not to mention he's a dual threat, we aren't really into that anymore. We prefer losing!  :ksu:

Nope, said he has 19 offers...stated that we called a couple of times, asked him to see a camp, but never offered.  While we were still evaluating, everyone else was offering.

Yeah that's what happens you have someone that you really don't need to evaluate... He's a gamer. Nothing really to evaluate, 30+ td's at Rockhurst as a junior = scholarships.

Maybe Prince wants to avoid attachment (promises of playing time, etc..) to another overly cocky KC area QB

While some of these theories being presented are interesting, my money's on:  Prince just can't recruit to save his life.

In all honesty, Prince has nothing to sell this kid on right now.  We have no momentum in the KC area.  ku and MU have stolen our thunder.  If we have a good season, Prince will put the full-court press on.

So you're taking the, "We aren't very good so we shouldn't even try to recruit good players" route?  Interesting.

You might not get any poo-nanny, but you have to at least show up to the dance.  Makes a better story than sitting in the basement playing D&D.

That in all honestly shouldn't matter. It helps, but good recruiters get players regardless.

Prince had plenty of momentum after 2006, and still got slaughtered in recruiting.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Saw him play a couple of times last year, he'll be a DB in college.  Trust me.  I know Bo!

No, just saying that a late run at this kid after a decent season might make more sense than wasting time sucking up to him now.  His HS coach is a K-Stater, and I think we still get an audience with him if we go at him late in the game.

So, the wait and show him the love after everyone else has believed in him for a year route.  That seems to work out well... :flush:

We only go after players that have offers from Hofstra, Bowling Green, Toledo, Akron, University of Indiana - Gary.

Plus, even if we did get him, Prince would probably ask him to grey shirt.

You know, it's these kinds of threads that make me pine for a resident hyper reactive, extrapolative logic laden, long winded KSU apologist.

5 qb's on scholarship?

I don't think we'll see a really decent qb recruit this year.

lol! You obviously haven't seen this kid. Any qb who can throw 50% in HS, and can throw the ball like he does, is going to be a quarterback. Not to mention he can run. He reminds me of Ell, maybe not quite as athletic but probably a better thrower earlier in his career.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
I remember laughing almost to the point of tears when Ksu hired Ron Prince because it was the ultimate 'who the &@#% is that?' moment.

I should have laughed even harder in retrospect.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

So a 50% completion rate against, slow white guys is good?
