I couldn't stand that bunch. No matter how pisspoor Wooly was they just couldn't get past his "nice guy" status. I'm sure they're the ones buying up all the season tickets now. Better late than never I suppose.

I know I pushed for Nolan Richardson for a long time but that was before Huggins was available. There wasn't a better hire we could've made than Huggins. Hell, damn near ANY hire would've been better than Wooly.

This is old news but I just re-registered and I wanted to send out a big FU to all the Wooly-loving bastages that many of us on here have been battling for the last couple of years...

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Now that just wasn't classy at all.

Great &@#%ing post. Never stop reminding those bastards.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Bob Huggins has proven that the majority of those folks (myself included) are K-State fans first.

It seems that Prince is getting "Wooly-like" love now though.  I don't think he deserves any bashing and certainly he has a long way to go to reach Wooldridge-like status, but this "the coach can do know wrong" mantra sounds all too familiar.  I'm not going to go down that road again.

What he said.

FAN and I have learned from our former Wooly love.  I'm not getting any t-shirts printed that say "Coach Prince:  We're behind you."

Even if we never experienced Jim Wooldridge, Ron Prince would have never gotten the lee-way that Wooldridge got. A couple of reasons. #1...it's kstate basketball. In the late 90's and early 00's it was incredible how little people cared because our football team was competing for BCS bowl games every year. Can you imagine Prince going 2-6, 3-5, 2-6, 3-5, 3-5, 3-5 and keeping his job? Not going to happen....kstate fans will NOT allow us is become crappy in football. #2...he's a black man. People have the tendency to think black coaches that are unsuccessful early on are "dumb" and don't work hard. This isn't just kstate fans, it happens everywhere. Does anyone here actually think Wooldridge was a hard worker? I sure as hell didn't/do not. This is a good thing though, I don't think it'll take long for us to see if Prince is right for the job or not.

Oh, and JP is not referring to you guys. FAN supported canning wooly after year 5 (fan's shortcoming was his pre-march 23rd huggins hatred) and slimz pretty much realized the end was near when we went on our patented 6 game conference losing streak in the heart of the conference schedule. It was the fans that "knew" wooldridge personally and come off impressed...or just hated Tim Weiser with a passion and would write letters to the mercury using the defense of "he's a class guy" while we couldn't even beat friggin Mizzou. The Jim Wooldridge fans 1st, then kstate fans type.

I love Terry Allen.

They may have well been the same guy.

But Huggins is no Mangino. :)

Let's not condemn the fan-base too much....he hasn't coached a d@mn game yet.  How can any person possibly judge whether he's doing right or wrong?

If he has Wooly-like performances and the Kool-Aid drinkers are fillin' their big-gulps then I say start the accusations...until then I think we ought to see what happens.

I agree...no reason to be too excited or down on him at this point...but tell that to the Prince Brigade.

Looks like Mr. Nice Guy recruited sex offenders and would play them.  We should have called him Thugridge.   ;)

Hey, I get sarcastic about some of the stuff Prince has done, but I see know reason to completely dump on a guy who hasn't coached one F'ing game yet.

Geezus ...

Hell, I think I was even a little optimistic last November when Wooly began his last hurray.
