Tim Reyer was arguably our second most valuable player last year next to Jordy.  Who is going to be punting this season? A second year kid from 3A Beloit with ZERO reps last season?   :ohno:
Welcome back, Bill.

We signed a JUCO AA punter, Pierson, and I expect him to be our punter next season. I've never seen the guy punt, so I have no idea, but he'd have to be at least decent to use a scholarship on. With that said, we signed a JUCO punter a few years back (Jesse Martinez maybe?) who was a punter/wr. He never made an impact at either position, so who knows. Watching the punters punt before the spring game, I thought to myself, "These guys are no Reyer" so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on Pierson.

We signed a JC punter and he'd better be good because we've got no one else decent on the roster.

Looking at the posts by some of the football "experts" on this board regarding Sean Snyder and David Allen, Punting and Special Teams don't mean a thing and should not even merit football discussion. In reality a good punter is huge if you plan on winning important games. That thing called field position is actually important.

One of those "Punters" was in fact a place kicker, filling a role.   Until the Juco guy shows up, depth at punter is limited to one guy.

The juco guy is already on campus. Heard they are scouring the bushes for a high school walkon who can come in and win the job.
