ummmmm.....yeah.  Well, the benefits are 1) job security 2) parachute back in to higher ed. 3) plenty of grants to pay for college classes towards masters/phD 4) high marketability (with ESL and PC/study abroad experience) 5) go where ever you want, whenever you want and will always have good shot at job. 6) Summers

The bad part is salary and some of the bureaucracy and parents stuff.

I think the funniest stand-ups to see in person are the ones you've never heard of from television or whatever major media source.  Once they reach a certain level of success, they seem to try to appeal to wider audiences and lose their edge as a result.
