Just pretty much people who don't care about the actual evidence at this point.  So much for small "c" conservatism.

The Florida report analyzed 168,900 deaths statewide. Cocaine, heroin and all methamphetamines caused 989 deaths, it found, while legal opioids — strong painkillers in brand-name drugs like Vicodin and OxyContin — caused 2,328. Drugs with benzodiazepine, mainly depressants like Valium and Xanax, led to 743 deaths.

Alcohol was the most commonly occurring drug, appearing in the bodies of 4,179 of the dead and judged the cause of death of 466 — fewer than cocaine (843) but more than methamphetamine (25) and marijuana (0).

BT's MOM:  You should snort some meth, it helps me get all the cleaning done!

BT:  Yeah, and it makes you pick your face scabs.

In the immortal words of Ringo Starr:

Quote
A lady that I know just came from Columbia
She smiled because I did not understand
Then she held out some marijuana, uh huh
She said it was the best in all the land

And I said
"No, no, no, no, I don't smoke it no more
I'm tired of waking up on the floor
No, thank you, please, it only makes me sneeze
And then it makes it hard to find the door"

Kat Kid likes to think that you cannot die by simply smoking marijuana.. ie it cannot kill you directly.

However, alcohol can kill you directly, but when people are killed by drunk drivers, it's not categorized as a death by alcohol, but rather a death by an impaired driver.

Accidents happen where marijuana is involved all the time.  Surely, Kat Kid is not a proponent of legalizing something that would lead to the deaths of innocent people..

Or perhaps, Kat Kid is just looking for a reason to get high, and the best he can do is come up with a "direct" link.

I find it .. funny.

War on drugs.

Yeah. That's going great.

Did you know that Mexican cartels have started lobbing the heads of police chiefs and journalists back at their homes/offices?

Marijuana (0).

MJROD is being a hardon.    Those statistics didn't include driving while "impaired."  If they had, they'd need to include old age, cold medicine, sleepiness, cell phones, loud music, and general idiocy.

Using Marijuana, without driving (or any other risky endeavor), is much, much safer than ANY listed alternative.

Not that I would know about any of that.... :bong:

And yet alcohol is legally available with the assumption that responsible adults will take the appropriate steps to limit its effects to themselves.  I don't remember anyone calling for Aggieville to be shut down on account of fights, STABBINGS, drunk drivers or hospitalizations for alcohol intoxication.  The argument that marijuana would have a greater negative impact than cigarettes or alcohol is simply not supported by evidence.
