Who is the talking fossil at the press conference KMAN is covering . . . geez this guys is annoying.

Doc Wefald just spoke, of course as per usual it took him 2 minutes to get to the actual "meat" of the matter.

I think Doc is almost a little Giddy thinking about the $20 plus million that's coming K-State's way to rebuild all this stuff.

Can't you see Doc following the claims adjusters around campus, "Say, ah, I'll get you a night of twister and baby oil in Ford Hall if you bump that up by another million or 2"

Does anybody know if the apartments at the corner of college heights and denison, 1807 College Heights, were damaged?  I am out of town and am curious.

Saw a video this morning with the SAE house. It looked pretty messed up. Has anyone seen anything of FarmHouse? I know they just finished some major renovations in the last couple of years.

the latter was kinda what I was thinking ...

KSU folks outside of Manhattan, as most of us are not in Lawrence.

I was surprised there wasn't even any kind of admin announcement, though!

Especially since it hit parts of the actual campus ...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Folks, we need to talk about this more, so it will improve things . . . also, could the Admins put up some kind of "tacked" post about this, so again, we can all feel better about ourselves.

In all seriousness Doc Wefald and the KSU administration has been all over this.  They'd already been to Topeka to brief the Regents, and the Governors Chief of Staff before the press conference back in Manhattan. They've already sent the K-State jet to DC to big up a congressional delegation to fly them back to Kansas.

They've done a good job from what I can tell.

all joking aside, I hope everyone is alright ...

which buildings were damaged other than the Engineering ones?

Was there any damage to the athletic structures?

There was a storm in Lawrence a few years back that damaged one of the light stanchions near the football stadium, they had to take it down completely and replace it!

Insurance fraud is prolly the quickest way to the $35 million we need to raise.
