As long as Cardwell survives...

I bet it was pretty cool watching that thing from the telescope.

you shouldn't. I got kind of scared when they said tornado was in manhattan. that may have had to do with the fear of power going off and house flooding.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I don't want tornados or anything.  But if there are warnings, there better be at least a good strong storm.  Although I would like to see a tornado at some point in my life.  31 years in this state and I've never seen one.

From KSU official information:  Cardwell and Ward damaged.  Weber's wind erosion lab destroyed.

Some poor sap lost his entire doctoral thesis in wind erosion.

An Engineering student reported to WIBW that he was studying in Fiebler when they looked out towards the Union and the crane being used to build the new parking garage was spinning in circles.  They headed to the lower level and ears popped and glass was flying everywhere.  After it was over, the building was begining to flood.

What about the apartments across the street and all the houses between there and campus?  Did you drive over there or see pictures online?

Weber's wind erosion lab destroyed.

In what must surely be the most ironic destruction by any tornado in the history of Kansas.

"Rathbone Hall, known for it's glass roof, has no roof anymore. Ward Hall, home of a nuclear reactor, has been damaged. "

A severe thunderstorm?  a Twister?  a Terrorist Tornado?   That's what some people in the blogosphere are saying about this latest round of severe weather.

I live on the corner of claflin and university right next to the DU house. I saw the tornado that hit campus, it was just a wee little guy but it sure did &@#% some crap up. I just got done driving around the few streets that werent blocked off. Lee St school is torn up pretty bad, I couldnt see if there was any structural damage but the fence around it is gone and there are tree's all over the place. The Farm House fraternity has a bunch of downed tree's in their yard but I didnt see any damage to the house. There was an apartment complex next to farmhouse that lost part of its roof. Thats about all I got, should be plenty of pictures tomorrow.

like, me and some friends took a tour.  so true value is like gone now?  i wanted to go steal some saws.  did the tornado hit best buy?  would have been fun.  outside of that engineering building, there was like, in an empty parking lot, like 3 cars piled on top of each other.  some apt. roof's torn off.  sae as mentioned earlier.  i dunno.  lots of crap all over the place.  it was pretty cool though.  weeeeeeee!

btw, do you all think everything will be left damaged, so we can tour more?
