i stopped reading when he decidedly couldn't admit to that fact in his 1st paragraph.

You should have kept going to the third paragraph...

"We might have been able to overcome their efforts if we'd had great food, but the truly damning problem was that we didn't."

The place did suck but god bless them for trying.

I launched the original Pink Taco restaurant & bar in 1998. Now I have my sights set on making K-State the #1 public university in the world.

We've found our T. Boone.

1 store  -->  $20K per year for K-State
10 stores  -->  $200K/yr
100 stores  -->  $2 million/yr
1,000 stores  -->  $20 million/yr
10,000 stores  -->  $200 million/yr (there are ~10,000 Pizza Huts)
100,000 stores  -->  $2 billion/yr

The last figure is the 25-year goal.

Have you read his endorsement quotes? What about his botched t-shirt deal? Why didn't he just take the money  :confused:

i'm back!  i didn't think the location sucked.  the picketers did.  the food did.  ultimately, there was no amount of money worth paying for the food they were serving and people realized that eating at a place named after a slang term for a women's vag was only cool for approx 3-7 minutes.

i remember them having pretty good beer prices.  but i think they lost their license after a while, can't remember for sure.

I don't think there is any other possible outcome given this dumbass's choice of names for his businesses.  It's like he just turned on sportcenter for the first time and thought that the Stu Scott guy may be onto something.  'Clams has covered his previous business name perfectly already.

Taco Hut was located conveniently in between the Taco Bell and Pizza Hut for those who couldn't make their minds up.

Absolutely right. And their water had a strange mineral flavor to it. It was kind of sweet. You could just get the delicious ice water and not even need to get a soda.

QFT

Anyone remember the parking space in front of the fridge that rose from the earth like Everest? It was one of the best things about the place. You had to seriously accelerate really hard to get over it and then slam on your brakes to keep from flying into the store. Best parking space in Manhattan IMO

haha some of the scariest driving times of my life.  you're all "just a little more gas." that transitions directly into "oh sh*t, oh sh*t, oh sh*t!" ending like a scene out of the first Vacation "**turn off ignition** well we're here!"

I've read all of it now.  This is the best quote.

When I posted a question on gopowercat.com asking for advice on how to go about doing that, however, some insidious soul reported to the state securities commission that I was actively selling bonds. I clearly wasn't doing any such thing, but I have still been forced to defend myself.

There is, of course, already at least one Booyah Pizza.

You saw the standardized test scores, too?

I like how he scours the internet for every mention of of the famous Pink Taco restaurant (the one that's not his) in order to take credit for the idea.  Let it go, dude.

Hi there,

I created the Pink Taco restaurant & bar concept and opened the original in May 1998 — a year before the Mortons opened theirs.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Ole Booyah keeps pimping himself every chance he gets and all he's really doing is hurting himself.  He may be getting the word out about himself, but he's overdoing it.  You also have to love how he's USING hail pics to promote his blog.  Granted, they were good pics and I liked seeing them, but still....it reeked of ulterior motive.

Yes! I saw that this morning and wanted to post, but damned gov't internets would not allow. It's almost like he went crazy for a week and attached his name to every single article that mentioned Pink Taco  :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:
