Do we have any good ones? Seems like we just threw some schollies @ random juco's with sun belt/wac type offers.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Our recievers are a bunch of small, skinny guys who probably can't catch, run routes, block or really do anything besides run sort of quickly.

Fast receivers who were on great teams, Brandon banks, and attrail snipes. A top juco wr recruit in quarles and i think hillburn will contribute. Returners in murphy and brown, but im most excited to see what banks can do. Brown needs to show me something before i would consider him a possible starter. IMO the starting WR 's will be murphy, quarles, banks/snipes.

Outlook is not strong.  Murphy and Quarles(v. impressive film) should be good but the rest are question marks.  L. Brown needs to have a break out year for the unit to come close to last season's production.  However, Freemie should keep improving which could help a little.

    warm up the EMAW
The scariest part is having absolutely no big gain threat.

Deon Murphy has been a huge disappointment compared to the "deep threat" he was sold as.  Some of that is system, but the fact that our Tight Ends were getting bigger plays than Deon is an enormous red flag.  Remember that 5 yard out to Jordy that he miraculously turned in to an 80 yard TD?  You can pretty much kiss that goodbye.

The only positives are projecting Freeman's development and hoping Leon Patton turns in to an All-Big 12 week-to-week performer.  The receivers are teh suck and Freeman will finally have a reason to get pissed at someone other than himself (or the O-Line).  Mastrud.  Seriously.  He plays.  Seriously.  &@#% us all.  &@#% us all. :poke:

I'm holding out hope that Quarles can be that YAC type of receiver.  If not him then we won't have anyone who can break one.

It's amazing how many short speedsters Prince recruits that amount to absolutely nothing.

And the Cali juco thing.  Wow.  I mean odds say we've got to find a decent one EVENTUALLY...

ernie is the crap, he's given me a ride back from tubs several times...not just saying he's a good guy as well as friends with reggie walker who is also a great guy as well as an amazing athlete but you need to have faith in the players in the program because i've seen what some can do when given the opportunity, prince is just a contradictory bastard that doesn't know how to utilize his personnel...and i'll leave it at that knowing several of his players and former players (and yes that includes ian you malcontent bastages)

Talking football with Reggie Walker makes me LOL.  I'm all, "So, does everyone hate Prince or what?"  And he's all, "No, Man!  Everyone loves him, there's so much team unity, he's a genius, we're all behind him and blah, blah, blah."  The next week about three guys quit the team.  I didn't even know Ernie played football...thought he was just a sexy model

not going emaw but think about it.  how can we not win the North?

wide receivers?  why, lets just call them glide receivers.  by far the most speed in the big 12 by a long shot.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

This is an excellent question, and should be submitted for inclusion on Shawn Winter's show.  http://www.ksufans.com/forums/index.php?topic=26568.0

I miss darnell mcdonald.  is it possible to trade ernie's nice-guy personality for rape, dui, and 20 touchdowns?

*edit*  frack.  just give me 5 touchdowns.  srsly

I hate myself for not appreciating Darnell more when he played...I was all, "Oh yeah, he's great..probably get about 50 more great receivers over our historic-never-ending-run-through-the-football-record-books-for-all-of-time though!"

    me ten years from now
I was discussing this with a fellow wildcat the other day he was worried that no receiver would be able to catch the ball but I went to the spring game and noticed that Adrian Hilburn had pretty good hands + we have a TE named Jeremy Mack booyah
