I'll post a longer version later, but the biggest thing is that you stay on a talking point for a while.  Otherwise we'll run out of questions and there will be a lot of dead air like tonight.  Each questions should get about a minute and a half minimum response.

Fantastic first effort.  Some suggestions:

- Think Conan O'Brien (you) and Andy (matt).  The webcam is first fixed on a posterboard with a black background that reads: "The Shawn Winters Experience".  An intro from Matt to introduce you, with a nice theme song (I would suggest the theme to Nightrider), then a monologue about current events or what ever is on your mind.  I would also suggest you get a third person (the band) who has a drum set and can do the "ba dum ching" thing after you make a joke in the monologue.

- possibly some sketch comedy (maybe reinact some famous KSU sporting moments)

- a guest or two (you have to have some other friends).

- questions (matt asks them, you answer)

- closing (work on your signature closing line).

Thoughts:

I like the nightrider themesong idea.  Remain seated unless it has a purpose.  No random poster holding.

1st 15 minutes questions read by Matt.  You should spend no less than 2 minutes addressing each questions.  That means no more than 6 questions.  Start a new thread with the next show's date and let people post questions.  Do research and have talking points.

2nd 10-15 minutes minutes talk about something current about KSU sports that is on your mind that you have though about.

Next 5 minutes complain about something.  Any current event is good, but it wouldn't be bad if it were focused on a sports team like ku.

Next 15 minutes have a guest.  Not another co-host, but a guest who you can ask questions, maybe even the same ones you've answered for a different opinion.  You can get them through on a webcam or if you have a better speaker you can do it by phone.  Get posters at first until you've worked out the kinks and then see if Terry or Jmart will go nuts enough to do it.
Last 15 minutes should be a feature you've come up with.  Something like eating a burrito you've come up with for the clam's chipotle challenge.  Maybe call your favorite ku player and ask them for money to buy a microwavable dinner.  Maybe you could call Sherron acting like you're an elevator repairman.  Or you can call RussRob and pretend you're from the CIA investigating extraterrestrial activity.  Or call Cole and tell him he won a tap dancing contest and that the prize is a big screen TV.  Maybe a trivia contest between you and matt with questions from viewers.   Oh and wear purple.

Also you need a closing line like, "I'm outie, fools."  or  "That is all the time we have on the Matt Xavier show, tune in next week."  Maybe even bring up a topic for the next week.

Questions for next week:

1.  What basketball prospects for this year will make an impact and which ones will flop?  Discuss your opinion on all three current recruits for next year.  Who will stand out as a returning player?

2.  Can Ron Prince keep his job with the current pace of recruiting even if this year and next year are a success?  Why or why not?

3.  If Prince were to get fired what would he do next?  Who would you like to see take his place and who do you think we have a reasonable shot at getting?

4.  If you could eat dinner with any current or former KSU player in any sport who would it be and why?

5.  ESPN just put out a face of the program for football programs and picked the obvious choice Bill Snyder.  If there were to be a face of the program for Basketball who would you chose?  Would it be someone from the past or someone recent?

6.  How many games have you been able to actually attend for any sports and what memorable moments do you have from in person games?

7.  Matt, why do you like KSU?  What did Winters say to you to get you hooked?  Also if KSU and Georgia were in the Championship game in Football who would you root for?  And is the answer the same for basketball?

8.  Do you think ku will be have as much success this season as they did last year and why?

9.  What JUCO players will make an impact in football and who will fail miserably?

10.  Where should Michael be drafted?  What team should pick walker and in what round?

Next show on Wednesday so you have time to prepare.

Doom's feedback on the show is very, very good.  However, 2 minutes per question is about 4 times the amount of time you should spend on a question.  30 seconds, tops.

Break the show into "segments," just as Doom suggested.  Tell the audience at the beginning of the show what will happen in each segment.  Here is an example layout.

Segment 1:  You print out questions posted on ksufans during the week, and address the ones you choose.  Have Matt ask you the questions.  You guys can banter back and forth about them if you like.  YOU decide when to move to the next question and tell matt "NEXT QUESTION."

Do the first segment for about 10 minutes, at most.

Second, have an "issue of the week."  Outline the issue, and give your opinion.  Then, solicit feed back from the audience.  Have Matt read the audience feedback to you, one at a time.  Matt will say for example "SteveDave says that Ron Prince is handsome," and then you chime in with your thoughts.  Make sure you use Matt.  Gives the audience time to process the question, and you time to think of what to say.

Third, do a segment on you favorite thread from the "Endzone Dive" for the week.  Tell what the thread is, why you liked it, and give your thoughts.

Fourth, follow the other posts' direction for how to end the show.  Make it a consistent thing.  Stick with it.  Make it yours.

Lastly, you stick with this and focus on the quality of the format and production and you'll be rewarded.

I would steal and pawn the copper tubing from the air conditioning units at Mark Mangino's house to fund putting these clips on youtube.

Thanks for the input Steve, but when in comes to the questions/stuff about ksu im kinda new at it so some of it sounds like a different language to me. srry  :frown: now if it was about UGA id be on top of it. :D But till then ill try my best to study the facts and other pointers on KSU.

P.S: Also if u guys can go in depth about what the heck you mean about the chipotle challenge and the feats of strength thing for the show that would help alot. Cuz right now we dont really get it.
