    ANGRY AS F*CK
God, I hate them.     :banghead:

When they call my office, I either tell them that my boss is deceased and enjoy the awkward silence, or I say "yeah, hang on" and then set the phone down and continue with my work.     :users:

P.S.  I did that line of work for about a month while in between jobs.  God, that sucked.     :yuck:

P.S.S. My girlfriend is one of them.    :curse:

P.S.S.S.  McCain is still really old.   :cyclist:

I don't have a home phone, just a cell, so I'm good on the personal front.

I am too lazy to worry about getting my company on a no-call list.  I'd rather get online and bitch about those frackers.

Anyone have any fun stories of tormenting those soul-less creatures?

P.S.  McCain has old saggy balls

When our office moved, the phone book listed our office number as Kansas, State of.

I can't even remember the variety of people that would call our office thinking that number would connect you to whomever knew the answer.  Taxes, drivers licenses, SRS.... the list is endless.

We also must have gotten a number that some dead-beat had in the past.  We get a couple calls a month from collectors.  I've started to tell them that they will have to sue me to get any money out of me.

Occasionally we do get a telemarketer, typically from a phone company.  It's fun to tell them that you would love to sign up, but they will have to get approval from the boss first.  Then give them the governor's number.

Telemarketers to businesses are only bad if they have no idea what your business does.  The only ones who call me are people who are trying to sell credit card readers... it must be one of those "sit on your ass and watch the money roll in" business opportunities you see on late night cable.  But if somebody really has something worthwhile to sell you, then it may be worth listening to them.

Get those at the Capitol, too.  Always wondered why people call and ask what the number to the Dept of Commerce is.  How did they find our number? Just look down the list a little further.

I'm on the no call list but I've been getting door to door solicitors recently.  Way worse IMO.

    It's time to hit it.
I get the toner calls at work all the time.  They apparently don't have a scripted response for "We own our own toner wholesaler".  Usually some ummm's, some sorry's, and some hang ups.

That or we let them toss their lines, then transfer them to someone else so they can go through it again, and so on and so on.

Jehovah's witnesses?

I usually invite them in and ask them if they'd like to watch 2 girls 1 cup.

Just tell them you'd love to continue their conversation but have to use the restroom.  Then invite them along.  Become insulted if they decline.

I like Jehovah's Witnesses.  They dress nice and never smell bad.  Plus very polite and well spoken.  They aren't even that pushy with their religion or whatever it is they're selling.

Jehovah's Witnesses, hus_ker fans.

Hmmmmmm.

Both are cult groups, or at best non-standard religions...

I agree steve, I'd probably chose the Jehovah's Witnesses...
