I have a question for those that may have dealt with Best Buy and their repair/warranty policies. My wife bought me a ps3 for Christmas last year (2007), and got the extended Best Buy warranty. Now since that purchase we have moved apartments and we are having trouble locating the warranty documentation. My PS3 bit the dirt last night and won't play games/Blu-Ray discs (yet DVD's work fine).
Will I have any problems with Best Buy and using their extended warranty? I can tell them the day it was purchased and the purchase amount (From Card Transcripts), but for the actual receipt I'm not sure we can come up with it.
I know the other option is contacting Sony since it's still within the year warranty, but I'd rather be able to take it to a local Best Buy and exchange it that way.
