    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Elite Camp?
Hopefully a separate app.  If not,

:flush: :flush: :flush: :flush:

Perhaps it's by invite only.  Still, I wish there was something on the website about it.

Wonder if they would realize my 1 yr old son is not yet in kindergarten?  I think I'll go with shades and a 'stache.  We all know the value of the 'stache.

Just have your kid tell everyone that, believe it or not, he's actually an alma mater of ku, coffeyville, etc. ad nauseam.  It'll make him seem old.

I'll bet it's June 6-7:

Are there restrictions on how much of this stuff you can do?  Can we do both the AAU deal and an Elite Camp?  Either way you get kids to your campus so you can watch them.  Coaches may even prefer the AAU deal (if they get the right teams in) b/c they can watch kids play more games, but I don't know.

That's funny, I was sitting about 10 rows behind the guy with camera.  The ku fans were wanting graphs from the Fullerton guys, too.

i'm sure there are restrictions.  but a camp and a tourney host are both fine.  i'm not sure that the coaches will be able to attend the classic though.  actually, i think they won't be able to.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

yeah, the manhattan classic isn't during the open period, so they can't have any contact with any of the players there.  but...maybe a tour showing them all the facilities and the proposed expansion plans can be arranged...

Frequently-Asked Questions
on Recruiting Definitions

Contact period - permissible for authorized athletic department staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.
Dead period - not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on- or off-campus or permit official or unofficial visits.

Evaluation period - permissible for authorized athletics department staff to be involved in off-campus activities to assess academic qualifications and playing abililties. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with a prospect are permitted.

Quiet period - permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution's campus.

The tournament is during a quiet period, so I would think we should be clear to watch, though I don't completely know how to interpret the definitions.

I think the elite camp last year was at the same time and they just focused the head and assistant coaches more on the guys who came for that.  They tend to split the groups up with several coaches.  It's good because it would be a lot more one on one time and you see how they take coaching, but you only get the people who respond to the invites.  All of assault's team will be at the classic.

I still want my cooler, bitches!
