    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
He wasn't going to play this year, anyway.

Three sucky QBs out of Freeman's way, one to go.  Freeman is the future.  Embrace him.

it's now obvious the starting job was probably promised, since every other qb except meier is leaving.  evridge might not of been effective (who knows how he would of done with a line), but i'm pissed as hell because of this.

I think that Meier is flat-out not good, but we should all be happy to have him as a back-up.

i think he will keep us in every game and keep defenses fairly honest.  a 6-6 season with him alone would be pretty reasonable.

But, he won't start more than 2 games.

If sunshine left we'd have noone to run the scout team.  And take over when Freeman runs the score 60+.

Freeman is a freak who would've ended up starting this year regardless.  However, I'd like Prince to learn how to juggle egos well enough that his 3rd QB (behind a guy who is coming off shoulder surgery) isn't some walkon coming off a SR year in the Wichita City league or something.  Really, at this point where do we have to go for a #3 QB, let alone a capable scout team QB?

Having 2 QBs (and only 2) on the roster = not good.

someone mentioned his name earlier but didnt whitmore play qb in high school?  besides like someone else mentioned earlier if the #1 and 2 qb's got hurt for any team theyd be screwed.  obviously we'd be better off if everige had stayed but if he would have been a backup this year anyways how much does this really hurt the team?  especially if freeman would have gotten the reps in the off chance we blow someone out.

Exactly.  Surely you could figure out a way for a third stringer to get SOME reps in practice.  Also, this is not what I would consider "ego stroking":

Quote
The Kansas State football coach asked Evridge, the sophomore quarterback who started six games in 2005 and informed Prince on Tuesday he was considering transferring, to sleep on the situation overnight and return Wednesday morning with a decision. Evridge was excused from Tuesday's practice.

According to two team sources, Evridge's locker was cleaned out in his absence.

More Rivals Kool-Aid:

Quote
Those two are the only quarterbacks among the 105 players currently in fall camp.

By comparison, there are eight quarterbacks listed on Texas' 2006 roster. Missouri has seven. Almost every school has at least five options at the position. Even at Oklahoma, after Rhett Bomar's recent woes and dismissal, the Sooners have four.
