    The very best.
ku has 30 big 12 victories since the conference was formed in 1996.

KSU reached the "30" win mark by the date of October 7th 2000. Ironically, a 52-13 win over Kansas marked #30.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Standing across the field from Bill Snyder:

Don James (1 National Title)
Pete Carroll (2 National Titles)
Bob Stoops (1 National Title)
Tom Osborne (3 National Titles)
Bill McCartney (1 National Title)
Phil Fulmer (1 National Title)
Mack Brown (1 National Title)

Imagine trying to build the worst college football program in college football history and knowing that you have to go out and beat OU, NU and CU, in several cases, you've got to do it on back-to-back-to-back weekends, and in one case you have to do it, just 3 weeks after playing eventual National Champion Washington in Seattle.

With all of these amazing stats I almost feel sorry for the senile old bastard for not ever winning anything meaningful.

I also feel sorry for him that this board trashes him relentlessly about leaving the "cupboard bare" for ScarySmart.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Extremely impressive.

Extremely unimpressive: Ron Prince.
KSU Athletics is doing fine now and is poised to do some special things in the next 5 years.

ALL TIME, KSU has more...

Bowl Appearances
Bowl Wins
Back to back winning seasons
Back to back Bowl appearances
Weeks Ranked
Season ending ranked
Season ending top 10 ranked
10 win seasons
9+ win seasons
8+ win seasons

More winning seasons since 1950, the year the 2 poll system was instituted

Since Phog Allen coached ku in the 1920 football season, ku has had 18 coaches. 3 have posted winning records

ku is one of just 4 BCS schools not to go to back to back Bowl games. Vanderbilt, Duke and UConn (which just became D-1 in 2000) are the others.

Since 1950 ku has finished the season ranked in both polls only 6 times. In 68 and 95 they finished in the top 10, their only 2. In one of those years (1995) we beat them 41-7.  In 2008, they only beat us by 6.

The win over VT was ku's first win over a top 10 team since 1995.  KSU has beaten more top 5 teams than ku has beaten top 10 teams.

Oh yeah, and their coach is FAT.

You have to think, all those years we probably would have beaten them if we played them twice, making it 44-0. i mean, relating to "the streak" and basketball terms...i'm just sayin.

Just give it a couple of years and ku fans will be saying, "Oh yeah, well remember that one time when we went 12-1, and won the Orange Bowl?".....But you ku fans are right, it is really embarassing to have a DOD to look back on and say, "wow, we were really, really good". I would advise drifting back towards mediocrity before you have a DOD of your own.

Put that Jethro Tull on one more time.

This thread makes me sad for each and everyone of you catfans.  You show Snyder the door, treat him like dirt since he left and now revere his accomplishments.

Now you are stuck with Ron.  Good work.

Honestly its not disdain at all.  Its actually more like "morbid curiosity" (that desire to look at a bad car accident even though you know the results are going to be ugly) he came in SO cocky and so arrogant.  Not too mention guys like Keitzman completely going nuts for the guy before he even coached a game.  He then came in...won some games that surprised some people....so there was a moment of maybe these guys were right about him.

And then...

The meltdown.  The coaching staff departures, the running off of any QB's that would/could pressure GoldenBoy, the whispers of coaching colleagues treatment, the losses, the stomp, the arrests, the really bad loss to really bad Nebraska team.  Its everything.  Its the complete dismantling of one of the most amazing coaching jobs done in any sport in my lifetime in a matter of 3 years.  Its remarkable.  Its a trainwreck.

Remember when Mangino had to cry about the officiating as an excuse for losing the Texas game at home?

At home.

We throttled them on their home field, adding yet another chapter to this storied rivalry.

Just think, if the refs hadn't spoiled that game for ku, Mangino would have 1 victory over an above .500 Big 12 team.

fyi, the coach that did that amazing coaching job was the one who dismantled it (in 2 years), Ron's picking up the pieces.  Say what you will about how he's going about picking up those pieces, but Snyder freaking derailed the train.

Interesting bit of tap dancing by your fanbase on this one.  Being able to cherish and glorify the "DoD" all the while trashing the old man for derailing the train.  It must be difficult to separate the two.  Props to those able to do it.

Not at all.  It's like the smart Hawk fans that love Roy for what he did at ku but still hate him for leaving them for an elite program.  Only retards think their players/coaches are 100% good or bad.

It's not tap dancing at all, rather it's an honest evaluation, some fans just have more difficulty accepting it because everything has to be either entire good or entirely bad.  A guy can do great things for 15 years and then suck for 2, and just because he sucked for 2 doesn't take away the previous 15. And the last 2 years were set in motion long before the end of '03.

Not as much Snyder's fault as it was his assistants.  He needed to fire several and get new ones, but didn't.  His main fault was loyalty to his crappy assistants.

In that regard, we aren't trashing Snyder so much as the staff overall.  Recruiting had become kind of an afterthought.
