Last I heard a bunch of politicians from states with far large populations than Kansas were claiming that putting it in Kansas would endanger America's food supply whereas putting it in their states where there is only minimal farming would ensure no such bad things would happen.  Smart money says that it goes elsewhere.

    The very best.
w/Bush in charge, no chance imo.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I read the selection won't be made until Bush is out of office.  There are five states still in the running - Texas, Kansas, North Carolina, ?, ?.

Athens, GA
San Antonio, Texas
Raleigh, NC
Manhattan, KS
Flora, Mississippi

The thing KSU has that I don't think most other sites have is the ability to offer a temporary facility in Pat Roberts Hall while the new one gets built.

Man, Raleigh would be a great site.  Tobacco terrorism is one of our biggest threats.
