you know buying actual limes and squeezing them over potato chips and then putting on fresh ground pepper and hot sauce is a real treat.

I can't stand the fake lime flavors that are going on out there.  Just squeeze your own lime.  Much better, cheap, not tough at all.

How much lime do you use per, say, handful of chips?  This might be a tasty one to try if not overdone.

You are onto something with these.  Curry rocks.  Bierocks are great if its not the cabbage. A ham and egg breakfast beirocks is great.

    It's time to hit it.
Wheat Thins are like crack.  Sure it says 11 servings per box.  But we all know there is only one serving in that box. You will pop one wheat thin after another until the box is gone.

Then you'll want more.

I tried Parmesan and Basil wheat thins the other day.  The first 10 were good.  but now, I can only eat one at a time.  then wait a few minutes.  They fixed that "wheat thin addiction" problem.

the wife likes the tomato and basil ones with cream cheese.   delic

Word on the Verenike.  Where the hell do you get it though?  Do you make it?  The only place I've seen it is church fundraiser meals.

Word on the Verenike.  Where the hell do you get it though?  Do you make it?  The only place I've seen it is church fundraiser meals.

My family is of Low German descent, so several know how to make it.  Usually I only get it once a year tho, and it is a fundraiser.  Central Christian Schools have their yearly low german supper on the first saturday of march every year.... all day.  The menu includes Verenike, Cherry and Pluma Moos, Zwiebach, and New Year's Cookies.  They also have all that stuff to-go, so we usually take a meal or two's worth of Verenike and New Year's Cookies with us.

I do know that there are a few restaurants that serve Verenike of some sorts one day a week.  A little cafe in Durham does it, but I'm not sure what day.  The cafe on main st in Inman has it as their special on Thursday at noon.  The Central Christian meal is still far better than either of the restaurants.

Central Christian is where I had it too.  We must be from the same neck of the woods.

We have lutefisk every Christmas for dinner.  I'm not a huge fish fan, so I don't care for it too much, but everyone else loves it.  It's not bad if you put some spicy mustard on it.
