LOL, no.  I almost guarantee it wasn't coyotes attacking the dogs either.  Prob. a bunch of fracking kids.

a couple of coyotes in california threatened me and my dog (more the dog) once.  ca and az coyotes don't act like ks coyotes.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Coyotes kill pets pretty often here in Colorado.  Mostly I saw foxes when I lived in Leawood, but I'm sure there could be coyotes.
